3rd QUARTER EXTRA CREDIT:
Students of Ms. Bard's English III Honors class who are seeking to achieve the 2% extra credit to be added to their final 3rd quarter grade are to create a "Flip This!" lesson!!!!
You will find the submission form on your class' quia.com webpage; all information MUST be submitted there to receive credit for this assignment, however as long as you answer all five questions required for the submission, you will receive your added 2%. If I like your lesson enough to use/assign it during 4th quarter, you will get an additional 2% extra credit then (in possible addition to the 4th quarter extra credit option) :)
To create a "Flip This!" lesson, you must:
1) Select your content.
There are 15 topics to choose from. You will have to identify your lesson's content on the submission form.

2) Find two online "sources"
Find a combination of two of the following: power point, prezi, video, webquest, scavenger hunt, online tutorial, etc that pertain to and teach your chosen content.
3) Create an assignment
Design either prep work or an assessment - what should students do, complete, or provide teacher with to demonstrate completion of your "Flip This!" lesson? (i.e. takes notes (very basic), print something (screen shots, certificate of competition), take a quiz (you must provide questions), complete a handout ( you must create it), etc).
** If creating a document, quiz, or handout of sort, you may email or give a hard copy to Ms. Bard; you can not upload onto Quia.
4) Give a rationale
Why did you choose the sources you have provided? What do you think is appealing about them? The way they deliver the content? Length? Engagement? User friendliness? How will they help you and your peers grasp the information and gain background knowledge?

2ND QUARTER EXTRA CREDIT:
Students hoping to receive 2% extra credit for 2nd quarter are to design, create, and wear (to school) an original, student-created t-shirt to advertise any or all of the foundational documents we've just studied: The Declaration of Independence, The US Consititution, and/or the Bill of Rights.
Shirts must be original creations, worn ALL day on Thursday Dec. 15th (verified by signatures from ALL of your "B" day teachers AND YOUR US HISTORY TEACHER on this form), and include the following to receive credit:
- Title of the Document advertised
- Significant quote from the document (at least ONE)
- Original or copyright friendly art work (1 image MINIMUM)
- Student created summary statement/slogan to represent main idea(s) of document
- Visual appeal
FORMS MUST BE TURNED IN TO MS. BARD ON THURSDAY DEC. 15th - NO LATE SUBMISSION WILL BE ACCEPTED (as this is extra credit).
